Effective 1 September 2009 WorkCover NSW has implemented a new system for licensing people performing High Risk Work [HRW]. In line with these changes and as a Registered Training Organisation [RTO], Forktalk has been approved by  WorkCover NSW to conduct training and licensing for the new HRW licences.

    BRIDGE  CRANE (PENDANT TYPE) TRAINING


    This is a one day training course in the operation of a pendant (or pendulum) control type bridge crane to be carried out on site and supervised by an experienced Forktalk instructor at all times.

    This is a  half day (approximately 4 hours) training session to be carried out on your site with a maximum 6 people per group. Operators attending ‘refresher’ training must produce their current forklift license and proof of identification on the training day. Training may not be conducted without such evidence.

    HIGH RISK WORK LICENCE ASSESSMENTS
    In accordance with the WHS Act 2011 and WHS Regulations 2011, under Duty of Care, an employer must provide an employee with instruction, training and supervision. The operator must receive prior practical and theory (knowledge) training in accordance with the National Assessment criteria in order to pass assessment. Training books can be purchased from Forktalk . WorkCover’s knowledge questions and assessment information – an Assessment Instrument for each licence code – can be accessed from our website.

This unit specifies the outcomes required to operate a powered industrial truck of a type where the operator’s control arrangement is incorporated with the load carriage/lifting media, and elevates with it, for licensing purposes.

    A Safety Audit by Safetalk is an inspection carried out on your premises by experienced personnel to assist with compliance. It is also carried out with a view to making your workplace safer, more efficient and more productive.

    Safetalk staff (just one or two people) will come to your site at a mutually agreed time to inspect and discuss all aspects of the workplace. This includes offices, factories, car parks and any other relevant space occupied by your business. WHS issues are not limited to industrial situations.

    WORK SAFELY IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
