Every person in the workplace must comply with the WHS Act 2011 and WHS Regulation 2011.
A Safety Audit by Safetalk is an inspection carried out on your premises by an experienced WHS assessor to assist with compliance. It is also carried out with a view to making your workplace safer, more efficient and more productive.
Safetalk staff (just one or two people) will come to your site at a mutually agreed time to inspect and discuss all aspects of the workplace. This includes offices, factories, car parks and any other relevant space occupied by your business. WHS issues are not limited to industrial situations.
Employees are asked for input on issues relating directly to them where they have ‘hands on’ experience. People at all levels can offer relevant comments on various issues and situations. All input is taken into consideration for the report.
On completion of the inspection, a comprehensive report is compiled listing and prioritising problems for action and suggested solutions. References are given to documentation relating to various areas to attain compliance with the Act and/or Australian Standards. In some cases, we provide sample documentation such as instructions on reporting an emergency which must be displayed for all staff at certain points in the workplace.
When the report is complete, a time is arranged for a debriefing of senior staff regarding the results of the audit and to review the report in detail.
Assistance is available to follow up the implementation of the items reported on and any other issues.
Cost for this service varies according to the size and type of business involved and the time taken to carry out the whole procedure.
Safetalk provides accredited training which we will be happy to discuss should that be appropriate.
We will be pleased to provide a quote after a visit to your premises and discussion on what is preferred and required.
