Health and Safety Representatives Gap Training (approved by WorkCover NSW) Under the new WHS Act the Health and Safety Representative role includes additional powers and functions, including the ability to issue a provisional improvement notice (PIN) and to direct that unsafe work cease. WorkCover
NSW has developed a Gap Training course for Health and Safety Representatives who have previously undertaken the 4 day WorkCover approved OHS Consultation training and wish to understand their full powers under the new legislation.
Course DurationOne Day (7 hrs) Both Public and On Site Training is available - Maximum of 15 people for on site training.
A purchase order is required to secure the booking and an invoice is issued for full payment.
Note: 100 Points of EVIDENCE of IDENTITY (EOI) is required on the first day of training
With effect from 1 July 2008, WorkCover NSW has stated that Trainers must conduct a 100-point evidence of identity (EOI) check for each participant immediately prior to the commencement of the training.
The EOI documents provided by the participants must include:
a. photo
b. date of birth
c. current address
d. signature
Participants are to provide EOI that adds up to 100 points. ALL documents provided must be original. Certified copies will not be accepted.
