Target Group

This course has been developed  to provide generic OHS training for Supervisors and Managers in industries such as manufacturing, retail, commercial, public sector and other service industries.

Course Purpose

This course is designed for people with supervisory or managerial responsibilities.  It aims to familiarise participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to apply the principles of risk management as an integral part of an effective WHS management system.  The course should also assist in the development of appropriate attitudes to enable supervisors to effectively manage health and safety in their areas of responsibility.

Course Regulatory Requirements

The WHS  Act 2011 and WHS Regulation 2011 require employers to provide appropriate training and instruction as necessary to fulfil WHS obligations.  In addition, the Regulation states that one of these obligations is to undertake risk management to ensure the health, safety and welfare of employees and others at the workplace.

This course was developed with input from industry representatives to assist employers in meeting their WHS obligations and to provide supervisors and managers with an awareness of an ability to implement WHS risk management in the workplace.

Duration of the Course

  • Two Day Course (for Managers and Supervisors)
  • One Day Awareness Course (for all employees)
This course is on site training only for a minimum 6 people per session.
A purchase order is required to secure the booking an an invoice is issued for full payment.
A Certificate of Attendance is provided by Safetalk for each successful participant on completion of the course.
