TLID1002 Shift a load using manually-operated equipment

This half-day training session, carried out on your site with a maximum of 10 people per group is aimed at operators of pedestrian-operated equipment such as pallet jacks, straddle trucks, walk-behinds, etc.

Topics covered include those listed below along with operator responsibilities, safe use and introduction to equipment, pre-start and after start checks and shut down as per manufacturer’s recommendations checklist.

Training is well supervised by an experienced Forktalk instructor at all times.

Forktalk will provide both theory and practical training, testing and a booklet to each participant which they will keep as reference material. After successful completion of the course, each participant will be issued with a Statement of Attainment from Forktalk.

A licence is not required to operate Pedestrian Operated Forklifts, however, in accordance with the WHS Act 2011 and WHS Regulation 2017 under Duty of Care, an employer must provide an employee with instruction, training and supervision in the safe operation of any equipment used in the workplace.

On successful completion of training and assessment, a Statement of Attainment will be issued along with our photo Skills Card certifying competency in the use of the equipment on which training was provided.
