scissor lift

TLID2045 Operate specialised light load shifting equipment

A Scissor Lift is a type of elevating work platform, competency and certification for which is not covered by a licence for a boom-type elevating work platform.

Scissor Lift training is a half day session, carried out at your site with a maximum of 6 people per group.  Training is well supervised by an experienced Forktalk instructor at all times.

A WorkCover licence is not required to operate scissor lifts, however, in accordance with the WHS Act 2011 and WHS Regulation 2017 under Duty of Care, employers must provide employees with instruction, training and supervision in the safe operation of any equipment used in the workplace.

A pre-course project is given to each participant which has to be completed prior to the training day.  It is to be handed to the trainer before training commences and any items or issues that need to be addressed or completed will be done during the training session.

Forktalk will provide both theory and practical training; a booklet to each participant; and an assessment on completion of the training session.

On successful completion of the assessment, each participant will be issued with a Statement of Attainment from Forktalk along with a Skills Card which has a photo of the participant and the unit of competency achieved on the reverse certifying competency in the use of the equipment on which training was provided.
