SafeWork NSW approved HSR 1-day Refresher Training
This SafeWork approved course is aimed at Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) or Deputy HSRs. Under the WHS legislation in NSW, HSRs and Deputy HSRs in their workgroup are entitled to request training which includes a five day initial training course and then on completion of the initial training, annual refresher training.
This course aims to reinforce knowledge and skills attained in the initial training course. The WHS Act 2011 and WHS Regulation 2017 provide a national WHS framework from which the states, territories and the Commonwealth harmonise the WHS legislation in Australia. The WHS legislation commenced in NSW on 1 January 2012.
This training is primarily for those participants who are elected HSRs under the WHS Act and have previously completed the 5-day HSR Course. The course includes a balanced content of theory and class participation through the examination of case studies, open discussion and practical application.
Course notes and handouts are provided throughout.
A Statement of Completion as per SafeWork NSW requirements and a Statement of Attainment issued by Safetalk.
1 Day. SafeWork stipulates the course must take 7 hours including breaks.
